The whole thing of Coruscant being taken over was a little over the edge. The Imperial Remnent and The New Republic couldn't take on a couple of ugly aliens? 8-)

I don't think they're far fetched at all. They are great books really. The Yuuzhan Vong are great bad guys and for the fact that the Force won't work on them makes the whole situation for the New Republic seem more desperate. Yes, some of the things that happen in the books are sad like with Anakin Solo dieing and such, but it makes the series more interesting considering no one else really dares to write something like that. But the Yuuzhan Vong are nothing like anyone in the Republic or Empire had ever seen before with their living ships and weapons and armor. In the book The Rogue Planet with Obi-Wan and Anakin going to the living planet Zarkona (I think that's the name of it...) it shows something similiar with the living ships on that planet that Obi-Wan even uses and grows attatched to. It's quite interesting to have the Yuuzhan Vong come in from the Unknown Regions with almost the same technology of that planet and start to take over the galaxy. They are ruthless killers that would do anything to achieve what they believe in, which in this case is to take out everything that is dead such as metal and stuff. There's this whole part in one of the books, the one with Jaina Solo as the main character (don't remember the name of it...) where it goes on to describe how if the Rebels hadn't have destroyed the Empire, the Empire with its organized status would have been able to easily defeat the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. But because of the Rebels taking over and being in a slight disarray, it opened way for the invasion.

Exactly. Where were these guys for the past four thousand years. Just POP! and they found Coruscant.

They were cruising around the Unknown Regions. But they found the Outer Rim first and after that it was downhill for them. They were better organized than the New Republic.

I don't like the New Jedi Order books AT ALL. GRAR they killed Chewie the idiots... but they aren't far fecthed to me. And Michael A. Stackpole wrote one with Corran Horn so suddenly they aren't far fecthed >.> But I still hate them. The Star Wars books before the New Jedi Order all rock though... expessially I, Jedi and Rogue Squadron and Tales of the Bounty Hunters. *is a Michael A. Stackpole/Corran Horn junkie*

And the New Jedi Order is a arc of books all about these new aliens coming who are immune to the Force. I've only read about three of them but I still hate them X.x

I never liked Chewie so I can't complain. The saddest death in the NJO is the death of Anakin Solo. But the other sad part was how Jaina nearly turned to the Darkside after Anakin's death and Jacen's capture, she thought he was dead for so long because he was cut off from the Force and all bonds. Star by Star... sad book.

I don't know, I just don't like him a whole lot. I don't really like wookies though. But I will admit that I like how Chewie adopts the Solo family as his own and protects the three kids. At least Chewie died nobly though, he saved Anakin Solo.
